Rexton produces only to order and each Garden Office is unique. Rexton has developed four basic models which are possible to modify in size and architectural design. The four models are based on different shapes of the floor plan.
Modern Office Rectangular shape (3.00 x 3.90 m. Total area 11.7 m2)
This size gives space four two office desks. The garden office can be lengthened with modules of 0.30 m up to a total length of 4,80 meters and still have two big windows in the front facade. Next step is lengthening with 1,8 meter by adding one more big window. Total length will then be 5.70 m.
The width can be extended to a maximum of 3.60 m. The entrance door can be placed closer to the back wall if the office desks are to be placed along the front windows.
This model is built with exclusive materials as standard. The roof covering, which has an elliptic shape, is made of titan zinc. The vertical timber boards are made of untreated oak, which will have silver patina after some years. The timber boards are rather thick which will give a distinct raised pattern. The inner roof follows the curved shape.
Rectangular shape (3.00 x 4.80 m. Total area 14.4 m2)
Rexton offers three different architectural designs of elevations.
1. London Garden Office - a contemporary style
2. Bath Garden Office - Georgian inspired style
3. Exeter Garden Office - Edwardian inspired style
The size gives good space for two office desks. The garden office can be lengthened by increasing the width 30 cm of each of front window (from 1.20 to 1.50 m), which gives the garden office a total length of 5.70 m. The front elevation will still have the classical division into three sections with the entrance door in the centre, which is often a central motive in period architecture, especially for the Georgian architecture.
Alternatively the width can be extended up to 4.20 m without affecting the design.
The "Contemporary" and "Edwardian" designs can have the entrance door in one of the side walls instead of being placed in the front wall
The rectangular garden office can, as an option, be built with a lantern on the roof with basically the same type of construction as on the octagonal garden office.
Pavilion Office
Octagonal shape (3.60 x 5.85 m, total area 18.85 m2)
This size gives good space for three office desks. The pavilion garden office can be extended with 1.20 metres by making the windows beside the entrance door wider. The width can be extended up to 4.35 metres if the length is extended with 2.50 m. This gives a maximum size of 4.35 x 8.35 m ( 33.67 m2 )
As an option the roof can be fitted with a lantern, which has sixteen openable windows.
Bay Window Office
(3.00 x 3.90 x 6.85 m . Total area 23.25 m2)
This size gives space for a maximum of four office desks. The garden office can be made longer and wider within certain limitation.
The entrance doors can, alternatively, be placed in the center of the bay or in the side walls.
