Installations on site
We install all our buildings. The same team of craftsmen that manufactures the building parts in our carpentry will install the building. The assembly on site takes 5 to 14 days depending on the model, size and materials.
Foundation, electrical and drain water connections The site is usually prepared and finished by local builder. We can recommend contractors which are experienced to undertake such works. Their schedule is based on our drawings and specifications. This normally involves construction of the concrete blocks on which the building stands, extension of electric power and alteration of drainage. If the building is small, connections to main drainage system are normally not needed.
Our standard method for foundation needs only minor ground work without a concrete slab. The floor is insulated with 160 mm mineral fibre. Our buildings are prewired for light, power and heating.
Materials All of our materials are durable and of high quality. The wood is treated and painted according to highest standards. All parts of the building are hand made in our carpentry units. The customer can choose from a wide range of options for choice of material for roofing, flooring, wall cladding as well as window and door frames.
Timber We normally use North European Pine which is known for its durability. The wood is always treated with the best oils and paints in the market. The outside boards below floor level are made in oak as well as the door threshold.
As an option, we offer other types of timber. African and Asian hard wood, European timber (oak, cherry, beech, ash etc.) or American cedar.
Glazing All windows are made of wood and preglazed in our workshop. The glass is secured with firmly moulded beads. The glass is fitted with double seals of synthetic rubber.
All windows and doors are double glazed. The glass is 4 mm toughened safety glass. The inner glass has an energy saving coating ( L-E coating) according to the latest technology.
Glazing styles The glazing is done with double glazing bars. In addition to the glazing shown on our drawings, we can offer a wide range of styles. Romanesque, Gothic, Victorian, Georgian, Regency etc.
Special features The roofs are, in connection to some roofing materials, fitted with ridge cresting and ball finials as standard. This is the case with roofing of copper and titan zinc. Other types of ridge decorations are available as options.
